That’s how much the world’s temperature will increase, in spite of the pledges made by nations around the world to combat climate change. Even though that number is less than the 8.1-degree increase predicted if emissions continue as is, the estimated rise in temperature is still troubling. As the New York Times reports, 6 degrees still means there will be food shortages and will spell extinction for certain species.

That’s how much Amtrak charges for baggage in excess of 250 pounds. But often, passengers can be found breaking that limit and not paying for it. Now Amtrak has decided to enforce the oft-ignored rule. While it may seem outrageous, it’s not likely to cause passengers to jump ship … or train, as it were.

That’s how much of the U.S. population in 2065 will be made up foreign-born residents. That’s according to a Pew report out Monday. But as the Associated Press writes, the more interesting piece of data may come from the year 2055, when for the first time, Asians are predicted to outnumber Hispanic immigrants coming to the U.S.
